Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is a famous Irish model and actress. Her first feature film appearance was a tiny part on her debut role in the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Later she played the Nazi-sympathising archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 1989). Siobhan Donevan as A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988), and Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) were other characters. Doody was first introduced to modeling when she was offered by a professional photographer. It led to an enviable career as a commercial model. Doody was adamantly against the glamour of thongs, nakedness and nudity during her modeling career. When she was dragged into the sights of the casting director of a new James Bond film she accepted a small part as Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was listed in John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3 as being one of the 12 top actors in 1986. 38. At just 18 at the time she acted in the film, Doody was - and remains - the youngest Bond girl to date. A Prayer for the Dying featuring Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a different early film in which Doody played IRA Siobhan. Doody was a silent actress in a 1987 adaptation from The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream bride Lilias. The Storyteller episode from 1988 was her first appearance in the main character in the film Sapsorrow and was portrayed by John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The actress acted alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) prior to taking possibly her most famous role ever in the role of Austrian Archaeologist and Nazi-sympathiser Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade as a co-star with Harrison Ford. Doody has been in three films with James Bond actors. In 1991 Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the publishing fraud known as the Hitler Diaries. Then she moved to Hollywood. Chosen to replace Cybill Shepherd as the spokeswoman of L'Oreal She went on to appear alongside Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II as Flannery his agent and girlfriend. Doody's first appearance on the screen was in 2003. Michael Caine played Doody in the role of a brief. Doody was a co-star, along alongside Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. Doody played a small role in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). In the following year, she was a guest on RTE's the medical drama The Clinic. She was also set to appear in the remake of the classic horror film The Asphyx. However, the project was ultimately canceled. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. In 2014 she appeared in We Still Kill the Old Way. She received the Almeria tierra de cinema award on November 21, 2018.
