Lil Tecca

Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe (born on the 26th of August, 2002) is known as Lil Tecca, is an American rapper and singer. His 2019 single "Ransom", was his breakthrough single. It reached the top spot at 4 in the Billboard Hot 100. This track was part his debut mixtape "We Love You Tecca" (2019) which peaked at number 4 on US Billboard 200. The mixtape also included the singles Love Me and Did It Again. The debut album of his studio called"Virgo" (2020) was released at Number 10 on the Billboard 200. It also featured the Billboard Hot 100-charting singles "Dolly" and "When You Down". The mixtape he followed, We Love You Tecca 2, was released in August 2021 . It included "Repeat It" and "Lot of Me". Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe is a Jamaican native, immigrated to the United States in Queens on August 26, 2002. Sharpe was born in Queens' Springfield Gardens, and later relocated to Cedarhurst on Long Island. Since his early years, Sharpe had aspirations of being in the NBA, but around the age of 12, he turned his attention towards pursuing a career in music. Sharpe attended Lawrence High School. Tecca was nine years old at the age, was rapping alongside the other students using his Xbox to record. One of their tracks about diss was uploaded to SoundCloud several years ago, but it was removed. In his first years, he didn't have any plans to pursue music a profession and instead , he envisioned becoming an NBA star. However, during middle school, his interest in basketball faded and began to consider taking music more seriously. The first single he released, "Tectri", which gained some popularity in the spring of 2017 was produced with the help of Lil Gummybear. Other tracks from his early days include "Callin". The song that he topped the charts "Ransom," which was first uploaded to Cole Bennett's Lyrical lemonade YouTube channel on May 22, 2019, started the meteoric rise of Tecca. It peaked at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and has been played over 900,000,000 times on Spotify and more than 300 million times on YouTube.
