Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born on the 18th of November of 1985 at Los Angeles. Felix's father Paul Felix is an ordained minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. Her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix was aware that she had a talent to run when she was a student at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her first tryout she came third in the 200 meter event during the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix graduated from high school in 2003 and became a part of Adidas an agreement as a professional athlete. Following that, she attended University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic gold medal during the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record in the 200-meter race with a time of 22.18. Felix became the world's youngest athlete to win the 200 meters at the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title again in 2007 by beating her time-tested Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix participated at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed among the top three athletes in each of her events.
