She made her TV debut in 2004 when she was offered the role of Laurie Partridge on the VH1 talent/reality show In Search of the Partridge Family. The show led to many small TV roles over the years to follow. After a number of performances she was chosen to portray the character of Jules in Superbad (2007). Her stardom as Olive in Easy A (2010) followed by a series of roles. In Phoenix, Arizona, she went to Xavier College Preparatory. While she is famous as a redhead her real hair color is blonde. Judd Apatow was the one who suggested she change her hair's color for Superbad (2007). The film was so popular that she decided to keep her hair. At the age of 15, she convinced her parents that she could make the move to Hollywood. She made this happen by creating a PowerPoint presentation called Project Hollywood. She began acting at 11 years old and was a part of Phoenix's Valley Youth Theatre. Here she performed on 16 stages and also performed with the comedy improv group of the theatre.
