Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American boy group
that is specialized in pop music. The band was created in 2009. The group is
made up of Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow and Logan Henderson. They first signed
with Nick Records in 2009. Then, Columbia Records transferred them to their new
label. They starred in Nickelodeon's TV show, Big Time Rush. From November 28,
2009 until July 25 of 2013, the show ran. The pilot episode featured the
group's first single for promotion, "Big Time Rush". The band released
three studio albums: BTR in 2010 and Elevate in 2011 as well as 24/7 in 2013.
In 2014, the band went on an indefinite hiatus that would last until 2021. The
band resumed live shows in the studio, and then came out with "Call It
Like It's Like It's Looking". Nickelodeon has signed Big Time Rush to a
record deal in 2009 concurrently with the television show Big Time Rush.
Nickelodeon joined forces with Columbia/Epic Label Group in order to produce
the series and provide original music. The series' first single, "Big Time
Rush", released on November 29 in 2009. The announcement was made by
Nickelodeon, the series was first broadcast in the U.S. in November 2009 and
then launched worldwide. The show premiered in a special preview of the series.
It is currently the show's main theme. There were promotional singles released
by the show which included "City is Ours" (with Big Time Rush) and
"Any Kind of Guy". Big Time Rush also covered the Play song
"Famous", which was written by the singer. It was released to iTunes
on the 29th of June, 2010, Another track, "Halfway There", was
released to iTunes on April 27, 2010 after its premier on the series. It was
soon their first chart-topping song on the Billboard Hot 100. It was ranked at
93 thanks to the digital sales. On September 21 on the 21st of September in
2010, Big Time Rush released second single "Till I Forget About You"
to celebrate the debut album's release. On October 11, 2010 the album, named
BTR, was made available to the public. The album debuted at the top of the
charts, number 3 on the Billboard 200, selling 67,000 copies within the initial
week of release.
